The instability in the Middle East, the escalation of the differences in opinions within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), whose members are Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Qatar. Certainly, the instability in the Middle East does nothing else but to amplify the vulnerability degree and to launch new options in the reconfigurations of the war for resources, an essential role in reestablishing the balance being attributed to Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia remains one of USA’s main allies in the Middle East and an important oil supplier, Washington being interested to the greatest extent possible in keeping the status quo.
