Pioneers of environmental technology for the benefit of others
Innovative solutions to reduce the impact on the environment (water, soil, air and toxic waste).
Starting with 2007, our company took over the research and quality control laboratories of Petrom S.A.
300 active employees throughout Romania
Laboratory equipped with the latest equipment
RENAR accreditation
Recipes and analyzes for 2000 tons/day of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
We present you a new technology!
Below are the advantages of the patent:
-
Our procedure is applied on site / in site, it does not require transport / handling costs, the eventual discharges during the transport being elimi-nated, such expenses and risks!
-
The process can be applied to any type of soil, sand, etc.
-
The risk of not being able to be co-incinerated is eliminated (taking into account the acceptance criteria at the cement and incinerator factories), only there being transport, handling and incineration costs.
-
The procedure does not involve an increase in volume of more than 30% -if the TPH content is less than 200,000 mg/kg.
-
This technology requires only mixing.
-
The process can be applied anywhere including in the drilling area and around the wells only if there is space available.
-
The storage of the treated waste can be in the place where the lagoons were or in other parts, and can even be used as road filling!
A geo membrane is installed for safety.
After treatment, an environmentally friendly encapsulated waste is obtained.
-
The treated waste can be granular or block.
-
This process can be applied to other types of contaminated soil not only oil.
Decontamination process: soil, water, waste
Take a sample
The method differs from case to case and adapts depending on the equipment and sampling tools. Depending on the degree of contamination, a recipe is obtained that will decontaminate 100% according to the law.
Creating the RECIPE in the laboratory
The sample is analyzed by chemical engineers obtaining a recipe 100% according to the law.
Obtaining the recipe
The recipe obtained in the laboratory is implemented in lagoons following the decontamination phase.
Checking the treated batch
Check the treated waste
Storage of treated waste
EFFICIENCY
No large increase in volume
Economic efficiency
Environmental efficiency
Best Available Technology Not Entailing Excessive Costs (BATNEEC)
Preliminary measures principle, correlated with the principle of using BATNEEC („Best available techniques that do not involve excessive costs”) – states that for any activity (including waste management), the following main aspects must be taken into account: the current stage of the development of technologies, the requirements for environmental protection, the choice and application of those economically feasible measures.
Presentation – M59 detergent to remove the oil product / grease
retained in the pre-treatment facilities
1. General data
The company EUROTOTAL COMP SRL with the registered office in Bucharest, str. Sfanta Maria, no. 1, bl. 10 A4, ap. 33, sector 1, with RENAR accredited laboratory, tested the product M59 (detergent for industrial washing with a high degree of difficulty) in order to use for wastewater pre-treatment. According to the technical data sheet of the product, M59, it is non-toxic, non-corrosive, does not attack surfaces. It is recommended to use it mixed with water in a ratio of 1:4 1:12 for washing with a high degree of difficulty, 1:15; 1:25; 1:40 for manual washing or steam washing or hydraulic blade equipment for activating the solution. The field of use is the washing of spaces and equipment, industrial and food industry, butchers, oil industry, naval, land oil tankers, oil or greasewashers, services etc.
2. Laboratory tests
Our company is interested in promoting the M59 detergent for:
-
Cleaning the separators of petroleum products and pre-purifying the discharged product so that it can be discharged into the sewerage network.
-
Cleaning pavers / floors contaminated with oil product – spray on conta-minated surfaces to activate the sieve for 3-5 minutes and then wash with water.
The tests were performed on wastewater samples taken from petroleum hydrocarbon separators from gas stations and on synthetic water obtained from the mixture of tap water with various quantities of diesel.
For the pre-treatment of wastewater subject to treatment, M59 detergent was used at variable, increasing concentrations, periodically determining the concentration of pollutants of interest (organic substances and substances extractable with organic solvents) and other pollutants specific to wastewater.
2.1 Tests performed on wastewater
The wastewater tested was collected from the compartment where the petroleum products are retained in hydrocarbon separators. They had a hydrocarbon content that exceeded the limit according to NTPA 001 (5,000 mg/l respectively).
2.1.1 In situ treatment
For the in situ treatment, the volume of the oil product separator in m3 is appreciated and M59 detergent solution is applied 4-5 I for each m3. Mix the contents of the basin and let the product react for 24-48 hours. After the reaction time, the water does not contain petroleum product beyond the regu-lated limits, being transformed into other biodegradable organic substances.
Mandatory laboratory tests will be performed for each in situ treatment with the product M59, verifying both before and after the treatment of the obtained parameters and the classification in NTPA O02 / 2005.
Dilute M59 with water, do not treat directly with concentrated solution.
2.1.2. Ex situ treatment
When treating ex situ, the contents of the basin (mixture of petroleum product with water) are emptied and treated in temporary storage tanks for hazardous waste by adding M59 in a concentration of 4-10%. Depending on the concentration in the oil product, it will be left to act for about 24 hours, after which it can be evacuated in the urban sewerage network.
The treatment can be performed in a septage at a concentrations of the petroleum product < 1 g/l when water evacuation can be done after 2 hours. If the residue contains petroleum product in higher concentrates are recom-mended to treat it in a pretreatment basin where a long reaction time can be ensure > 24 hours.
Laboratory tests will also be performed before and after treatment with M59.
