Abstract. In the article, the topic is the dynamics and evolution of geopolitical relations between the two states, Germany and Russia, respectively. I’ve presented the historical evolution of the relations between the 2 states, the current relations and the public opinion about them. I’ve also presented graphs that confirm or refute the vision of certain factors that affect the relations between the two, from the point of view of the population. The purpose of the topic is to present one of the most fluctuating relations of two states, these being both powers that have an extremely important influence both in Europe and in the world. Another goal is my own interest in German history and politics. As research methods, I read more articles and books that related certain information for the specific topic. I also completed a questionnaire with questions about the topic. Following these, we made graphs, which show their results, ie the opinion of the population on this topic. The conclusions summarized after the article is that the relations between Russia and Germany have been and still are extremely tumultuous, both historically and politically, even if the public is not so reluctant to do so.

INTRODUCERE

Germania este un stat localizat în Europa centrală, fiind o ţară membră a NATO, a Spaţiului Schengen, dar şi membru fondator al Uniunii Europene. Aceasta are o istorie tumultoasă, fiind un stat fragmentat, ce a reuşit să se unească după mai bine de un mileniu de la apariţia oficială a statelor germane. Aceasta a fost unificată în 1870, dar după cele două războaie mondiale a fost împărţită din nou, ca mai apoi în 1990 să fie reunită, în prezent reprezentând unul dintre cele mai puternice state din Uniunea Europeană.

Pe de altă parte, Rusia este un stat cu o istorie probabil la fel de tumultoasă, însă unificarea acesteia a fost mult mai înaintată, la începutul secolului XVI. Istoria acesteia va fi determinată de atitudinea agresivă, abordată de mai toţi conducătorii acesteia, reuşind să se izoleze politic de restul mai pe toată perioada existenţei sale ca stat.

Relaţiile politice dintre cele două au fost strâns legate de perioada istorică, de guvernarea statelor, dar şi de situaţia geopolitică mondială. Dacă în perioada lui Napoleon, având un inamic comun, acestea au reuşit să formeze o alianţă stabilă, dupa unificarea Germaniei, acest lucru s-a schimbat, cele două state au reuşit să se distanţeze extrem de mult, culminând cu al Doilea Război Mondial.
