Abstract. The entry of the Crimea peninsula in the composition of the Russian Federation, as well as the increased tensions between Ukraine and Russia, but also the clear tendency of the Russian Federation to dominate the Black Sea, the Azov Sea and the related straits, resulted in a number of measures for political, economic and military purposes, designed to transform Crimea, in record time, into a real fortress. More and more analysts compare it to a genuine huge aircraft carrier that can’t be sunk and they don’t exaggerate at all.
