Abstract. The article deals with the American epidemiological crisis and the impact of the commercial health system on the development of the epidemic. In addition, the impact of false information about the pandemic on the sense of security in Central and Eastern Europe, where NATO and the presence of American troops affect the quality of security, was analyzed. Methods of disinformation during a pandemic have been described using specific examples of both falsifying statistical data and spreading false / erroneous information in order to cause social panic.
