– I have been on the front line since the first day of the war. On February 24, we went to the firing line and repulsed the enemy. The situation here is tense: artillery is constantly working against us, and sometimes – aircraft, tanks and armored personnel carriers.
Yes, sometimes I’m scared, because only insane people are not afraid. Fear is a normal reaction in our conditions. I tell my soldiers the same – do not be afraid. You just have
to learn to transfer fear into the right direction, not into stupor or panic.
Usually, we defuse the situation with laughter. Laughter overcomes fear, difficulties and everything in the world…
My husband is also a soldier, he serves in our brigade. Or rather, we are not officially married yet, but he made me an offer here, at the front, on the second day of the war.
We decided that after the victory we would come home, Dad would slaughter a boar and so we would celebrate the wedding.
Is it hard for a woman in war?
I will say this – it is as difficult as for a man, I do not see any difference here. What are we fighting for? For Ukraine, for children, for parents.
I want children not to cry for their parents, women not to cry for their sons or husbands.
So that children can go to kindergarten and school in peace – not in Poland, not in Germany, but in Ukraine. That the whole world knew about the strength of our army.
We are now writing a new story, and this story will turn the whole world and the whole life of the Ukrainian people. Any war will ever end, this one will come to an end too.
And it is obvious that we will win. Because there is no such force of spirit anywhere in the Ukrainian people, in the Ukrainian army, in every Ukrainian. And although we are
fighting against the “second army of the world”, but we far ahead of them, they themselves have already understood this…
