ABOUT AL DAHRA

Al Dahra is an agribusiness firm specializing in the cultivation, production and trading of animal feed and human food commodities such as rice, flour, fruits and vegetables.

Al Dahra is a prominent multinational leader in agribusiness, specializing in the cultivation, production and trading of animal feed and essential food commodities and end-to-end supply chain management. Serving a large customer base spanning the Government and Commercial sectors, Al Dahra has a widespread geographic footprint, with a workforce of 5,000 employees, operating in over 20 countries and catering to more than 45 markets, with a leading position in Asia and the Middle East.

The group manages and operates a land bank in excess of 400 thousand acres of land with 1,200 pivots and a fleet comprising more than 2,000 farming assets. In addition, the company owns and manages 15 state-of-the-art forage processing and baling facilities and has the capacity to produce and supply 3 million metric tons of alfalfa and grasses annually, catering to the needs of the dairy and cattle industries. It is also a leading player in the production, packaging, marketing and distribution of grains, operating 3 rice mills and 2 flour mills with the capacity to produce 500,000 MT of flour and 500,000 MT of rice, annually. It further owns and operates a grains hub strategically located at the Fujairah port in UAE with 20 silos and more than 300,000 MT storage capacity.

Al Dahra has also made considerable investments within the logistics and supply chain sector. It moves about 2 million metric tons, annually and ships 175 thousand TEUs.

EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT TEAM

  H.E. Khedaim Abdulla Al Derei
Vice Chairman & Co-founder Al Dahra Group

H.E. Khedaim Abdulla Al Derei is a delegated member from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and he is in charge of commercial business of the Private Office of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He has over 28 years of public and private sector experience and has held senior positions within the UAE’s diplomatic core.

H.E. Khedaim is also the Vice Chairman and Co-Founder of Al Dahra Group and the Managing Director of Al Ain Holding, H.E. Khedaim has overall respon-sibility for ensuring the business strategy is aligned with the shareholder and the board’s targets.

He began his career working in the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with postings to the UAE Embassies in Washington DC, USA and Beirut, Lebanon, where he held the post of First Secretary. H.E. Khedaim was then appointed Plenipotentiary Minister First Class at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition to these duties, he was made Deputy General Manager to the Court of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the then Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE.

After leaving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Private Office of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In this role, he was responsible for the coordination of all private and business interests and activities of His Highness.

H.E. Khedaim has a number of external Chairmanships, these include: The Sheikh Zayed Private Academies for Girls and for Boys, also subsidiaries Agility Abu Dhabi PJSC and Agricost SA (Romania). He is also Vice Chairman of Capital Group Properties (Egypt) and Chairman of the Audit Committee of International Capital Trading.

Externally, he sits on the boards of a number of public and private entities. These include the National Investment Corporation, Abu Dhabi University and the UAE Red Crescent.

H.E. Khedaim holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Development from the American University in Washington DC, USA and Masters in International Relations from the Lebanese American University, Lebanon. He has also attended several executive management programs at top institutions such as the Harvard Business School in Boston, USA.

  H.E. Rashed Mohammed Al Shuraiqi
Senior Advisor Al Dahra Group

H.E. Rashed Mohammed Al Shuraiqi has over 35 years experience including as undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, and vice Chairman of Abu Dhabi Food Security.

H.E. currently acts as the Senior Advisor for Agricul–ture at Al Dahra Agricultural Company. He holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Sciences from the UAE University in Al Ain, and a Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Science with a specialisation in plant production / animal.

  Dr. Sulaiman Rashed Al Nuaimi
CEO – Government Relation Al Dahra Group

Dr. Sulaiman Rashed Al Nuaimi has more than twenty years’ experience in management, public relations and administration.

Sulaiman acts as the CEO – government relation for the Al Dahra group, working closely with the government in the United Arab Emirates on building strong relations, as well as participating in official delegations to foreign countries and promoting agricultural development and collaboration. Sulaiman also acts as the CEO – Egypt office and also MD of Morocco office. In addition to his position, Sulaiman heads up the Exhibitions Department overseeing the company’s participation at various local and international trade shows and events.

Sulaiman holds a Doctoral Degree in Leadership Management from Australia and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the United Arab Emirates University.

  Eng. Hussain Salem Al Katheeri
CEO – Trading and Strategy Al Dahra Group

Engineer Hussain is the Chief Executive Officer of Trading and Strategy in Al Dahra Group, and is responsible for developing and setting the group’s overall strategy as well as global operational and commercial responsibilities of the trading division. Prior to joining Al Dahra in 2019, Hussain held multiple leadership positions over the last 20 years at GASCO, the Higher Corporation for Specialized Economic Zones (ZonesCorp), the Department of Economic Development, and the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council where he served as the Secretary General and had a pivotal role in establishing the national entity for measurement in the UAE, the “Emirates Metrology Institute”.

Hussain holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Univer-sity of Washington in Missouri, where he was part of the ADNOC Scholarships Program, and an MBA with honors from the United Arab Emirates University.

  Salmeen Obaid Al Ameri
CEO Al Dahra Agriculture – UAE

Salmeen Obaid Al Ameri is the Chief Executive Officer at Al Dahra Agriculture where he is responsible for all commercial and operational functions, leading, turnaround and growth plan implementations. He has many years of global experience in strategy, portfolio monitoring and corporate development. Furthermore, Salmeen is a board member in various companies, such as Agthia and Agility Abu Dhabi.

Salmeen holds a master’s degree in Management from Paris-Sorbonne University in Abu Dhabi and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Eastern Washington University in the USA.

 

Hamdan Abdulla Al Derei
COO Al Dahra Agriculture

Hamdan Abdulla Al Derei is the Chief Operations Officer of the UAE Division at Al Dahra Agriculture.

Hamdan has more than 12 years of experience in Public and Private sectors in the United Arab Emirates.

Hamdan holds a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University in the United States of America.

 

Nael Khalil
COO – trading and strategy Al Dahra Group

Nael has over 20 years of experience in Finance, Supply Chain and Operations Management, built across complex global organisations in a fast-pace and growing markets.

He has a sound knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain, including procurement and logistics, handling extreme levels of complexity.

Nael has a degree in Bachelor of Economics and Administrative Sciences from applied science university from Jordan.

  Gianluca Fabbri
Group CFO Al Dahra

Gianluca has more than twenty-five years of expe-rience in projects that have significant financial complexity and that have benefited not only the companies he has been working for, but also the communities around the business.

He joined Al Dahra in 2017 as the Group Chief.
