Abstract. Political Islam is possibly one of the terms that has generated the greatest media resonance and debate in academic and political circles during the last decades. The main reason is the role they played in the Arab political scene, especially after the military coup in Egypt in 2013, which recovered terms such as “end”, “post-Islamism”, that is, decreeing the end of these movements. Seven years later we can confirm this hypothesis, or then the political and social reality appear another perspective. This article attempts to analyze the different visions that await these movements.
Key-words: Political Islam, Muslim Brotherhood, end of political Islam, Arab revolt, military coup in Egypt
